I am Heidi Remmele. I was born in Marshall, Minnesota and spent most of my younger years in Balaton. My mom was the town librarian, and my siblings and I spent our summers reading there. When my dad starting working as an agronomist in Echo, our family moved there and my mom took a call to teach in Wood Lake.  Growing up, my two sisters and two brothers and I often played school, and due to the great Lutheran teachers and my mom as role models, teaching came naturally to me. When I was in high school at MVL, I began volunteering as a counselor for Camp Shetek, and still continue to volunteer as the activities director, and one of my favorite things is finding new and fun activities for each year. While at MVL and during my three years at Wisconsin Lutheran College, I was a cheerleader and on the dance team. I transferred to Bethany Lutheran College for my final two years of college, graduating with a degree in Elementary Education, with a specialty in math. After college, I substitute taught in many districts around Mankato, and moved to Ohio to work with a construction company for several years. I was blessed with my son, Sawyer in 2014. He and I enjoy camping, fishing, swimming, and going to Valleyfair. We live in Echo with my family and two cats. We are both excited and blessed to be a part of the St. John school family.
